The HT/DUJ-1 laser ceilometer is an active remote sensing monitoring device independently developed and manufactured by Qingdao Hotech Automation Technology Co., Ltd. Designed based on the principle of backscattering of laser by cloud droplet particles, it is used for high-precision and high spatiotemporal resolution detection of atmospheric cloud layer information (cloud height and cloud amount). Product Introduction:

The HT/DUJ-1 laser ceilometer is an active remote sensing monitoring device independently developed and manufactured by Qingdao Hotech Automation Technology Co., Ltd. Designed based on the principle of backscattering of laser by cloud droplet particles, it is used for high-precision and high spatiotemporal resolution detection of atmospheric cloud layer information (cloud height and cloud amount). II. Working Principle

Based on the laser ranging principle, the device's laser transmitter emits periodic laser pulses into the atmosphere. The laser receiver captures the backscatter signals from cloud layers and the atmosphere. The processor collects and processes the received signals, and through inversion calculation, obtains the extinction coefficient of the atmosphere at various heights, thereby identifying cloud layers and calculating the cloud base height value.

III. Product Applications and Functional Characteristics

Product Applications:

Detection of the spatiotemporal distribution of clouds and other aerosols; detection of cloud base height, cloud thickness, cloud amount, PBL (Planetary Boundary Layer) height and vertical visibility; detection of cloud condensation nuclei and cloud physical spatial processes; cloud observation and research for meteorological institutions; airport meteorological support; maritime meteorological support; military meteorological support; and artificial rocket rainfall enhancement operations.

Main Functional Characteristics: The laser ceilometer can conduct real-time and continuous detection of cloud base height, cloud top height and cloud amount information within the vertical range from 15 meters above the ground to 7.5 kilometers. It can detect no less than 5 cloud layers, with a cloud height resolution not greater than 10 meters. It outputs data products such as cloud height, cloud amount and atmospheric boundary layer height, and can realize 24-hour unattended and uninterrupted normal operation.
